The gold of the Startup Brazil programme is to stimulate the growth of the technology and software development field in the country.
The federal government will invest R$40 millions in the Startup Brazil programme, wich intends to accelerate the creation of 150 startups until 2014.
The startups are characterized by scalable and repeatable business models, usually in the technology field. The government aims to stimulate the brazilian competitiveness and the economic growth by the creating this new businesses.
"If a country wants to be competitive, the government must be open to this new world order", says Nicolas Gautier, director of Mountain do Brasil, startups incubator.
